Jesus longs to save all who will listen to His Word. The grandest promise ever made is “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life” (John 3:16). All who want to be saved may be saved.

Out of profound love for the world, Jesus proclaims, “’Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great,’ which made all the nations drink the maddening wine of her adulteries” (Rev. 14:8, NIV).

The all-important question is: Who or what is Babylon?

Sometime in the near future, apostate Christian churches, acting in unity, will force the people of the United States, and then the whole world, to accept their false teachings. The counterfeit Sabbath is the most obvious example of spiritual adulteration. In coming days, acceptance of the false Sabbath (Sunday) will demonstrate one’s loyalty to Babylon, to the traditions of men.

You must get ready now! Why? Because the forces of Babylon are growing bolder and more aggressive. The test is coming soon.

Evidence? The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank with deep influence on the federal government, recently published a Special Report called “Saving America by Saving the Family: A Foundation for the Next 250 Years” (Jan. 8, 2026). This document is loaded with descriptions of the terrible condition of the American family, and follows with suggestions for the recovery of the family.

The choice of the word “saving” is significant. This word suggests that compelled religious laws are the answer for the flourishing of the future of America in the next 250 years. Significantly, America is about to celebrate the first 250 years of the American democratic experience, which was begun by the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.

Heritage implies that the American foundation of liberties as expressed in the United State Constitution of 1787 has failed to keep the family strong. The Constitution is a secular document with guaranteed liberty of conscience and freedom of religion for all Americans. The Foundation is asserting a new constitutional order that exhibits every mark of the union of church and state—Babylon.

This “new world order” is illustrated by the Foundation’s advocacy of a national Sunday law*. Sunday is the creation of pagan and papal Rome. It is a tradition of men. Protestants claim to follow the Bible, but instead they follow their mother, the Great Prostitute (see Rev. 17:1).

Babylon represents the combination of apostate Protestantism and papal Rome. Ancient Babylon compelled worship, and spiritual Babylon will repeat this great evil.

In the Bible, good wine symbolizes teaching that brings joy and blessing. Prov. 23:29-35 shows that corrupted wine deceives and enslaves. The law of God enlightens, but human tradition blinds. Babylon opposes the law of God, and substitutes tradition for truth.

To drink Babylon’s wine is to lose the ability to perceive reality. The drunkard falls to the ground and is unable to distinguish truth from error. Babylon will seek to control the conscience. And dissent will be perceived as rebellion deserving of death.

Jesus calls to His people among the apostate churches (Babylon): “Come out of her, My people” (Rev. 18:4). I urge you to go to your Bible for yourself. See for yourself. The Holy Spirit will guide you.

*The Heritage Foundation’s Recent Statement on a National Sunday Law

Support for a Uniform Day of Rest. As zoning laws allow a community to determine where one can operate certain businesses, “blue laws” reflect the local judgments as to when one can operate certain businesses. In the case of McGowan v. Maryland (1961), the Supreme Court held by an eight-to-one vote that Sunday-closings laws that include the purpose of providing a uniform day of rest are constitutional and can accommodate the fact that the majority of people who take a day of rest for religious reasons do so on Sundays. Massachusetts, for example, requires that “every employer of labor engaged in carrying on any manufacturing, mechanical or mercantile establishment or workshop…shall allow every person…at least twenty-four consecutive hours of rest…in every seven consecutive days.”

Day-of-rest laws limiting commercial activity are usually found in less densely populated counties, although restrictions on alcohol sales are more widespread. Though greatly diminished, blue laws persist in some form in close to 28 states.

A uniform day of rest that limits commercial activity can provide temporal boundaries that help communities to set aside time for religious observance, family gatherings, outdoor activities, and rest. A stable base of research shows that these practices correlate with better mental health, stronger social bonds, and more stable family structures.

With the advent of on-demand delivery, shopping can be shifted easily and conveniently to other days of the week. By restoring a common rhythm of rest and reflection, community rest laws could help to reverse the trend toward “spiritual homelessness” and foster the social habits necessary for communities to cohere and flourish.

Despite today’s on-demand culture, the U.S. Postal Service does not deliver regular mail on Sundays, most organized youth sports avoid Sunday competitions, and most banks are closed on Sundays. The ever-popular Chick-Fil-A chain closes its restaurants on Sundays for the benefit of its workers and their families. Where new, planned communities or transitioning communities form, they should consider adding rest days as part of their master plans for balanced and thriving community life.
