Author and Purpose

Greetings! I’m Marcus L. Sheffield, Ph.D. I retired as Professor of English from Southern Adventist University in 2022. After a thirty-year career of university teaching and a lifetime of studying the Scriptures, I’m now concerned with warning readers of the dangers of an apostate religious hegemony developing in the United States, and the world! The Bible calls this unity Babylon. Babylon in the New Testament is code for Rome, both pagan and papal. Daniel 7 predicts that Rome will be the last world empire before the second coming of Jesus. Eventually, God will destroy this religious system so full of confusion and doctrines of demons. But God does not leave His people unwarned. Revelation 18:4 says, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins or contract any of her plagues.” I invite you to allow the Holy Spirit and His Word to convince you to prepare for what’s coming. Jesus is our loving High Priest pleading for us now in the heavenly sanctuary. Jesus’  ministry will end soon, and He will return to save His people. Jesus wants you to be among them!
