Welcome to Babylon Uncovered. This site focuses on giving the warning of Revelation 18:4 to those in biblical Babylon, identified in Revelation 17 and 18 as the Great Prostitute. This fallen Church is guilty of the blood of martyrs, is the mother of other fallen churches, and is allied with demonic powers.

Many churches and religions today accept doctrines that will lead to acceptance of the deceptive command found in Rev. 13 to “worship the beast.” Once individuals understand that worshiping the beast is contrary to God’s law, they will be responsible for making the right choice, even if that choice leads to the death penalty. The wrong choice leads to their receiving the mark of the beast, a spiritual sign that they are willing to honor the law of man over the law of God.
One false doctrine of Babylon involves the interpretation of the future of the earth. Many churches foresee a gradual growth of the kingdom of God on earth. However, the Bible teaches that the last world kingdom is Rome, both pagan and papal. The Book of Daniel shows that this kingdom will be destroyed at the coming of Jesus from heaven (see Daniel 2).
The wisdom literature of the Bible, particularly the Book of Ecclesiastes, proclaims that everything earthly is meaningless and a striving after the wind, including utopias of all kinds.
Any notion that life on this earth will improve is strictly unbiblical. In Matt. 24, Jesus describes the end of all things. He vividly portrays a cataclysmic outcome for the earth. Final events will be full of deception, dominated by war, famines, and earthquakes. Jesus says, “All these are the beginning of sorrows” and “lawlessness will abound.” The end is not the capstone of human history, but its destruction.
There are two schools of meaninglessness. Secular humanists see nothing beyond the grave and are basically existential philosophers (believing that value in life depends on the human creation of meaning in the face of meaninglessness). However, the Bible contains a believer’s version of meaninglessness–that life under the sun (life lived from a worldly perspective) is meaningless, but that ultimate hope exists.
Such a biblical philosophy shields believers from worldly forms of desire–believers have to learn that the pursuit of pleasure, power, and wealth is of no eternal value. Meaning is out there, above the sun, in the heavens–in other words, meaning in this life is found when believers live by God’s values.
If this is true, then Christians who seek to establish Christian kingdoms on earth are doomed to failure. Such Christians are rejecting the words of Christ as he faced Pontius Pilate. At that time, Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world.” A worldly Christian kingdom would sooner or later operate on earthly methods of rule, such as coercion and persecution. Christ’s kingdom never forces, never persecutes, never burns heretics. Earthly kingdoms use force, coercion, and persecution. Religious persecution lies ahead in the United States of America.
The Book of Ecclesiastes seems very cynical on first reading, but Solomon ends the book with certainty, not doubt. Life is pointless. There is no profit in man’s work, or value in his pleasures. Generations come and go, but nothing really changes. The sun rises and the sun sets, uncaring about what goes on here on earth. Even the future will not be new! Future generations have already been forgotten!
Money will not satisfy. Piling up wealth is meaningless. Sometimes, the rich are either figuring out ways to give their wealth away or they are adding to their wealth. When they die, other people who didn’t earn it, inherit it. This is meaningless!
The best advice for God’s children is that they eat, drink, and enjoy their work.
The righteous are in God’s hands, but the same events happen to the righteous and the wicked. Both experience tragedy and loss. This is life under the sun.
Solomon helps people understand how to be happy in this meaningless world. Walk by your heart’s desires, he says, but remember that there is a judgment after this meaningless life.
The conclusion of the whole matter? “Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is man’s all” (Ecc. 12:13, NKJV). Obedience is the victory over a lack of meaning. For many, disobedience is the victory over a lack of meaning. But consider this: obedience has meaning only if there is a God. Keeping God’s law is the perfect expression of a meaningful life.
Babylon resists the biblical world view. Why? Because Babylon is the home of demonic forces that seek to deceive by subverting the truth of God. Babylon denies the authority of the God of heaven.
In the near future, a movement toward unity under the banner of Babylon will emerge. A national, then an international, Sunday law will be enacted. Those who refuse to worship the beast will be threatened with death. Those who worship the beast will receive his mark.
Come out of Babylon! Don’t be deceived by any church, faith, or philosophy. The future events described in the Word of God are sure. To be saved, every individual must be ready through study and prayer. Only a remnant will be saved.
Noah warned his generation to join him in the ark of safety. But no one took advantage of the warning that was preached for 120 years! Only eight close family members were saved. The rest of the world was destroyed by a universal flood.
Jesus is the Rock of salvation! Listen to His voice. He alone can protect you in the days that lie ahead. Know the truth, and the truth will set you free. The Bible says, “Thy word is truth” (John 17:17).
